Having traveled extensively as first a military brat and then later a uniformed member of the Navy and Coast Guard, I always had a fond desire to capture images of my many adventures. Now working as a Coast Guard civilian, my travels have taken me too many common and remote locations across the globe.

It was early in 2008 after a series of visits to Alaska when I first decided to become serious and buy a quality camera to capture all the amazing and beautiful things I was seeing. This is when I made the decision to learn everything I could about photography. Some of my favorite authors are Scott Kelby, Martin Evening and Tom Ang. My first serious digital camera was the Canon Powershot G9. Later I upgraded my capabilities by acquiring Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop CS4 and Photomatix post production software. After three years of honing my skills on the G9 , I upgraded to the new Canon EOS 60D. I continue to add to my camera bag frequently.

I'm an active member of the Livermore Valley Camera Club where I enjoy participating in photo competitions with other photographers. I am rated by the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs (N4C) at the Masters level. I am also a member of the Alamo Danville Art Society where I sell my fine art photography, a percentage of which supports art programs in the San Ramon Valley School District.

My gallery is designed for sharing my best photographs with family, friends and all photography enthusiasts as well as being a convenient site for my clients to purchase my photography. I enjoy taking many different forms of photography and display them here on Majestic Captures. I enjoy shooting automobiles, aircraft and other forms of transportation. I also enjoy animal and landscape photography. I haven't yet settled on a particular niche but find automobile photography to be my favorite.

I first became a member of Flickr a few months after deciding to become a serious photographer. I found it an excellent forum to share my photos with family, friends and colleagues. It has also become an excellent forum to share information on photography and learn new techniques from other photographers. In fact, I draw a lot of inspiration from other photographers on Flickr. From the beginning to the present I've received many words of praise and encouragement to offer my photography to the public. With every photoset I've uploaded I've been told my work just gets better and better. My intense passion for photography motivates me to learn and apply differing creative techniques to stimulate the visual senses. To see more of my photography, you can find me on Flickr at www.flickr.com/photos/diablo-vista/. If you find an interesting photo that's not in my gallery; please let me know and I'll make it available.

I hope you find my photography delightful. If you have a moment, I would sincerely appreciate hearing from you by signing my guestbook. If you have any other comments or suggestions, please feel free to e-mail me.

Thank you for visiting Majestic Captures!
